Pat and his wife have been in and out of homeless shelters as they look for permanent housing. Pat served in Iraq with the Marine Corps for two years and narrowly avoided serious injury from shrapnel in a car bombing. When he left the military “It was pretty much ‘thank you, see ya.’ I got a job at McDonalds. Its hard to come back from Iraq, flip burgers and still have trouble finding a permanent place to live.”
