Photography Exhibit Documents Housing Challenges in Minnesota

The personal impact that the lack of affordable housing has on the lives of people in Minnesota is often unmentioned and hidden. Through two iterations of "Portraits of Home," a photography exhibit sponsored by Greater Minnesota Housing Fund, a team of photographers has captured how families in greater Minnesota struggle with poor housing conditions, the lack of a home and managing life with few resources. The stories represented by these images remind all of us that we must do more so that all Minnesotans have the opportunity to thrive in safe, decent and affordable homes.

Social Art and Housing Activism
Greater Minnesota Housing Fund makes this compelling exhibit available to local communities throughout Greater Minnesota in order to touch the hearts and minds of policymakers, local leaders and residents, and to inform these stakeholders of the specific actions they can take to address the housing challenges faced by a growing number of Minnesota families and individuals.
