Investing in Healthy Homes and Communities

As a certified Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI), Greater Minnesota Housing Fund assembles financial resources and tools that support the creation of safe, decent and affordable housing for low- and moderate-income families and historically underserved emerging market households throughout greater Minnesota.

Access to capital is what makes the creation and preservation of affordable housing possible. Since its work began in 1996, Greater Minnesota Housing Fund has awarded more than $132.8 million in financial support to high priority affordable housing developments. As the largest affordable housing Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) in Minnesota, GMHF helps communities and developers promote the creation of well-planned, mixed-income neighborhoods by combining four key areas of support:
