GMHF Makes Housing Information Available to Employers, Residents and City Leaders
Leading the Way in Employer Assisted Housing
The Employer Assisted Housing (EAH) program was launched at the Greater Minnesota Housing Fund in 1996. The program addresses the critical need to provide decent affordable housing to working families throughout Greater Minnesota.
Employers working in partnership with their communities can help to address the affordable housing shortage, resulting in a stable workforce and a healthy local economy. GMHF allocates significant financial resources to fund EAH initiatives each year. These funds are used to encourage and complement employer and community participation in affordable housing across Greater Minnesota.
Answering Important Questions
By helping to implement successful EAH programs, GMHF has developed materials that address the following questions:
Why should employers be interested in local affordable housing efforts?
How can employers determine their role in the housing market?
How can employers become involved in increasing the community's supply of affordable housing?
How can employers help employees obtain affordable housing? |
