MHFA and GMHF Consolidated RFPTwice a year, Greater Minnesota Housing Fund partners with the Minnesota Housing Finance Agency (MHFA), the Metropolitan Council, the Family Housing Fund, the Saint Paul Public Housing Agency, and the Minnesota Department of Corrections to fund housing proposals through a Consolidated Request for Proposals (RFP) process. RFPs are published consistently in early December and late May, with application deadlines in February and July. Funds are available to assist in the development, construction, acquisition, demolition, or rehabilitation of affordable homeownership, home improvement, including manufactured homes or rental housing activities, for low- and moderate-income residents of Minnesota. The Consolidated RFP represents an effort to coordinate the resources available within MHFA and its partnering organizations, and to address communities' comprehensive housing efforts. All current information and application forms for the Consolidated Request for Proposals are available at MHFA's Web site for online review and download. MHFA and its RFP funding partners have also developed a Common Application that can be used for Multifamily funding applications. This application includes the proforma, narratives and submittals and eliminates duplication to simplify the process for applicants applying for multiple sources of funds through MHFA, it’s funding partners and collaborating partners.
